PRICING
What cold email infrastructure costs in 2027, at 500, 2,000 and 10,000 sends a day
Start from the sends you need each day, not the number of inboxes. Everything else in the budget follows from that one figure.
Cold email infrastructure for 2,000 sends a day costs $210 a month on Microsoft 365 or $405 on Google Workspace with us, before the sequencer, the list and any domains you buy. The method below works for any volume: divide your daily target by what one domain carries, round up, and multiply by the price of a domain.
How much does cold email infrastructure cost per month?
A Microsoft domain carries 100 inboxes at 3 emails each, so 300 sends a day, for $30 a month. A Google domain carries 3 inboxes at 15 emails each, so 45 sends a day, for $9 a month. Here is what that comes to at three volumes.
| Sends a day | Microsoft | |
|---|---|---|
| 500 | 2 domains, 200 inboxes, $60 / month | 12 domains, 36 inboxes, $108 / month |
| 2,000 | 7 domains, 700 inboxes, $210 / month | 45 domains, 135 inboxes, $405 / month |
| 10,000 | 34 domains, 3,400 inboxes, $1,020 / month | 223 domains, 669 inboxes, $2,007 / month |
Per email of daily capacity that is $0.10 a month on Microsoft and $0.20 on Google. Rounding up means each row carries slightly more than its target: 7 Microsoft domains carry 2,100 a day, not 2,000.
What does a domain add to the budget?
Bringing a domain you already own costs nothing extra. If we register one for you it is $12, charged once, so the volume decides this line as well.
| Sends a day | Microsoft domains bought | Google domains bought |
|---|---|---|
| 500 | 2 for $24 | 12 for $144 |
| 2,000 | 7 for $84 | 45 for $540 |
| 10,000 | 34 for $408 | 223 for $2,676 |
This is the line people leave out when comparing providers. Google reaches volume by adding domains, so its domain cost grows far faster than Microsoft’s. The reasoning behind 3 inboxes on a domain is in how many Google inboxes per domain.
What else belongs in a cold email budget?
- A sequencer, priced by its own plan. Some are free to start, as covered in free cold email sequencers for beginners.
- A list, and verification for it. We do not supply either.
- Your time to write the campaign and read the replies.
What should you budget for before the first campaign?
Plan for at least two weeks of warm-up before meaningful cold volume, and pay for the inboxes during it. If your first campaign is due on a set date, order at least two weeks earlier. The steps are in how to warm up a domain for cold email.
What this budget does not buy
Infrastructure controls whether mail arrives, not whether anyone wants to read it. A budget can tell you what a volume costs. It cannot tell you what that volume will return, because that depends on the list and the copy.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to send 1,000 cold emails a day?
With us, 4 Microsoft domains carry 1,200 sends a day for $120 a month. On Google, 23 domains carry 1,035 a day with 69 inboxes for $207 a month. The sequencer, list and any domains you buy are extra.
Is Microsoft or Google cheaper for cold email?
Microsoft, per send. With us it is $0.10 a month per email of daily capacity against $0.20 on Google. People choose Google because they want the mail to come from Google, not to save money.
How far ahead should I order inboxes for a 2027 campaign?
At least two weeks before the first campaign, so warm-up can run before meaningful cold volume starts. Delivery itself is 24-48 hours.
Infrastructure without the setup
100 Microsoft 365 inboxes on one domain for $30, with SPF, DKIM and DMARC configured and verified before handover. Live in 24 to 48 hours.
