ScaledMail alternative: 100 Microsoft inboxes on one domain for $30
ScaledMail is the vendor whose model is closest to ours on Microsoft: they also price Microsoft per domain and publish their tenant isolation. The differences are how many inboxes a domain holds, how hard each is run, and where the tenant boundary sits.
Disclosure: we are coldemailinboxes.io, one of the two vendors compared. Every figure for ScaledMail is from their own public pages, linked at the bottom.

Microsoft: two per-domain prices
ScaledMail charges $50 a domain a month for 25 Microsoft mailboxes, each sent at up to 10 a day: 250 sends a day for $50, or $0.20 a month per daily email. Their own example puts 100 mailboxes at 4 domains and $200 a month. We charge $30 a domain for 100 Microsoft inboxes at 3 a day: 300 sends a day for $30, or $0.10 per daily email. Both models keep a domain under about 300 sends a day; we get there with more inboxes each sending less.
Why fewer sends per inbox: a mailbox sending 3 a day looks like a person; one sending 10 looks busier. Neither is a platform limit, and we have not run a controlled test of 3 against 10. It is the rate we size for and publish. How many cold emails per inbox per day has the reasoning.
Google: where ScaledMail is cheaper per send
ScaledMail Google mailboxes are $3.50 at up to 25 sends a day, $0.14 a month per daily email. Ours are $3 at 15 a day, $0.20. If you are comfortable at 25 a day on Google, their Google product costs less per send than ours, and we would rather say so than leave it for you to work out.
Tenant per customer, tenant per domain
ScaledMail publishes that each customer gets separate, isolated tenants, so no infrastructure is shared between customers. That is the most important isolation line, and they state it plainly. We go one level further and put each domain in its own tenant, so your own domains do not share a recipient ceiling or a complaint record with each other. Whether that extra level matters depends on how many domains you run and how differently you use them. Cold email tenant isolation sets out the trade.
Where ScaledMail is the better choice
- You want Google at a lower cost per send, run at up to 25 a day.
- You want SMTP inboxes alongside Google and Microsoft.
- You want pre-aged or pre-warmed domains bought and aged in the app.
- You want a reporting add-on and a dedicated Slack channel.
Where we are
Microsoft at half the cost per send, four times the inboxes per domain, a tenant per domain, and 24-48 hours to handover. The domain is yours, bring it free or $12 once.
What we can show for our own sending: across 11 campaigns on these Microsoft 365 inboxes, 26,698 leads contacted produced a 1.73% bounce rate. Reply rate was 1.9% and ranged from 0% to 4.1% campaign by campaign, because replies depend on the list and the copy, which we do not supply. These are our results, not customer results, and none of it was sent on Google. The full numbers and method are published.
